Michelle Alozie, a defender for the Super Falcons, has named her top three African musicians right now.
Notably absent from the list were Afrobeats heavyweights Davido and Wizkid.
Alozie, who is currently with the rest of the Super Falcons squad at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, named Young Jonn, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr as the biggest music performers on the continent in an interview with ESPN Africa.
“What are your top three African musicians at the moment?” the interviewer inquired.
Alozie answered: “That’s difficult. [laughs] You can’t do that to me. No! Alright, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, and Young Jonn.
