For the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation exercise, 1,900 members of the National Youth Service Corps, or NYSC, have been sent to Bauchi State. This was revealed by Kufre Umoren, the scheme’s state coordinator, in Bauchi on Tuesday when he announced the program’s start.
According to him, registration will take place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, from September 24 to 26. The exercise will conclude on October 14 and the swearing-in ceremony is set for September 26.
Only legitimate graduates who have been properly validated by their institutions will be allowed entry into the camp, Umoren clarified. He went on to say that covert screening would be done to stop illegal entry or impersonation.
The corps members have been informed of the registration dates and are urged to carefully follow all camp policies. Those who default will be punished in accordance with the current regulations of the scheme,” he stated.
Additionally, he advised corps members to put their safety first and warned them against traveling late at night. In order to prepare them for independence after service, participants will engage in military exercises, skill development, and entrepreneurship training over the course of the three-week orientation.
