Barr. Mrs. Adanma Ode, a leader of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, in Enugu State, has pushed for political inclusivity ahead of the general elections in 2027.
The APC Stakeholders’ Women Conference and the official launch of the party’s Women Wing in Enugu State were hailed by Ode as a turning point that would reshape the role of women in politics and government.
It offered a unique chance to honor the past, fortify the present, and boldly map out the future of women in politics, she said.
Ode, who served as the Planning Committee’s chair, emphasized the value of honoring the contributions of women who have held leadership positions within the party.
Through their bravery, sacrifice, and tenacity, these incredible trailblazers established the groundwork for where we are today.
“They are our political family’s mothers and matriarchs, and we will always be inspired by their loyalty and wisdom,” she said.
According to her, the launch of the APC Enugu State Women Wing signaled a new era by fortifying organizational frameworks, elevating women’s voices, and establishing them as equal collaborators in promoting political leadership and inclusivity.
The unanimous approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the APC’s only presidential candidate for 2027 was one of the summit’s high points.
Barr. Ode made the motion, stating: “President Tinubu is a living example of Renewed Hope.”
