According to frontline attorney Dele Farotimi, some politicians are making a concerted effort to rebrand former President Goodluck Jonathan, who was duly removed from office by Nigerians in 2015.
He questioned the reasoning behind the decision, stating that people would be let down if they were expecting the former governor of Bayelsa State to perform a miracle.
He cited valid reasons why Nigerians voted Jonathan out in 2015, thinking that this would solve the nation’s issues, only to find themselves in a worse predicament.
The senior attorney maintains that replacing President Bola Tinubu with Jonathan would be a waste of time and won’t address Nigeria’s issues.
There have been rumors that Jonathan will run for president in 2027, and some people think he could be the one to unseat the All Progressives Congress, or APC.
Rotimi questioned why Nigerians were even thinking about returning to the politician from Bayelsa, whom he claimed they demonized, branded, and rejected in 2015.
