According to human rights attorney Deji Adeyanju, former president Goodluck Jonathan has expressed no interest in running for president in 2027.
There has been conjecture regarding the former president’s potential return in 2027, according to BASEMEDIA NEWS.
According to reports, Jonathan has been under increasing pressure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to run against All Progressives Congress (APC) President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
Since the former president has said nothing about the matter, there has been more conjecture that he has consented to run for president again.
However, in a post on his Facebook page on Monday, Deji said that the chapter is closed and that Jonathan has no interest in it.
He wrote, “GEJ has no interest in a 2027 presidential run.” That chapter is now closed. Everything you hear about GEJ is diverting your attention.
