previous President Goodluck Jonathan is the only contender who can compete with President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, according to Chief Dele Momodu, a previous presidential candidate.
Jonathan would probably not want to get involved in such political activities again, he continued.
Chief Momodu claims that Jonathan has shown satisfaction with his current accomplishments because he never imagined reaching such high political positions.
The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) went on to say that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the only other candidate Tinubu and his team are scared of in the 2027 election, which is why they have been politically targeting him in an effort to demarket him before the election.
Reports from Naija News In an interview with New Telegraph, Momodu made the submission while discussing the state of Nigerian politics at the moment and what to expect from the 2027 election.
He asserted that only a Goodluck Jonathan, for instance, could challenge Tinubu from the South. But he probably wouldn’t want to put himself under too much stress.
He’s not the kind of person; you can see that he’s a man of contentment, and he’s an intellectual who believes that even where he goes, he never expected to get to that level. So, it might be difficult for him. The only man they fear, and that’s why they’re already demarketing him in advance, is Atiku Abubakar.”
