Described as “fake news,” the All Progressives Congress has refuted extensive allegations that it has given automatic tickets to every present member of the National Assembly.
The APC advised party members and the public to ignore what it called a “purported Breaking News Report” that was incorrectly ascribed to the party in a statement issued today by Felix Morka, the party’s national publicity secretary.
Morka declared, “The report is FAKE NEWS and should be ignored in its entirety because it did not come from our great Party.”
He further warned that the viral claim is of “mischievous origin” and designed to mislead the public and disrupt internal party operations.
This clarification comes amid mounting concern over the party’s internal nomination strategies ahead of the next election cycle.
Morka emphasized that verified channels would be used to convey official party decisions.
