FCCPC calls on Air Peace due to not refunding ticket costs

In response to numerous consumer complaints nationwide about the lack of ticket fare refunds, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has called on Air Peace Limited’s management.

According to Mr. Ondaje Ijagwu, the commission’s Director of Corporate Affairs, in a statement made in Abuja on Monday, the airline did not refund its customers even when it canceled its flight operations.

He stated that the airline’s actions could potentially violate sections 130(1)(a) and (b), as well as 130(2)(b) of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018.
Ijagwu stated that the FCCPA ensured consumers had the right to prompt refunds in cases where bookings, reservations, or orders were not fulfilled because of a service provider’s failure.
