Nuhu Dansadau, the commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, has cautioned staff members against engaging in rumor-mongering and job racketeering, pointing out that these activities are harmful to the corps’ development.
The commandant issued the warning to his personnel on Monday in Kaduna during a muster parade address at the NSCDC Kaduna State Command Headquarters, according to a statement from the command’s public relations officer, Musa Labaran.
Dansadau underlined that employees must always behave in accordance with the precise guidelines set forth in the Public Service standards or risk the repercussions of their misconduct.
The commandant, who was unhappy with certain of the corps’ behavior, stated that personnel found guilty would face disciplinary action, pointing out that it would be detrimental to others.
Despite my repeated warnings on discipline, I am not pleased with the staff’s careless attitude.
Because of my affectionate friendliness toward all officers and men, I always emphasize discipline whenever I have the chance to speak with you, yet most of you take me for granted.
I want you to know that starting today, anyone found to be violating the line of discipline will face harsh consequences.
The Commandant issued a warning, saying, “I will use the Public Service rule to discipline anyone found to be indisciplined in the course of duties.”
Job racketeering, absenteeism without authorization, traveling outside the state without a pass permit, tardiness, closing early, improper attire, disrespect for seniority officers, abuse of authority, and a number of other behaviors that are detrimental to the NSCDC are all included in the scope of indicsiplene.
As a result, the statement continued, “I therefore advise you in your own interest to desist from your bad characters so forth, otherwise you will face the full consequences of your action.”
