Transfer: Man Utd, Amorim offered three strikers who are free agents

Manager Ruben Amorim has been given the opportunity to acquire three free agency attackers as Manchester United looks to strengthen their attack this summer.

After his squad only scored 44 goals in 38 Premier League games the previous season, Amorim is hoping to improve on that performance.

The Red Devils had five forwards on their shortlist at the beginning of the summer.

Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon was one of their goals, but the 27-year-old is currently close to joining Arsenal.

The Athletic claims that United may choose to use a number of free agents.

They have been given the opportunity to recruit Callum Wilson, who left Newcastle on Monday, Jamie Vardy, a former Leicester striker, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a former Everton forward.

Prior to the upcoming season, United has only acquired Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
