Thiago Silva, a versatile center-back, has predicted that the team will win the FIFA Club World Cup this year.
Chelsea advanced to the final of the Club World Cup on Tuesday after defeating Fluminense 2-0 in the semi-final. Silva played a part in the victory.
Pedro’s brace made sure Enzo Maresca’s team trounced the Brazilian team in the US. Silva predicted Chelsea to win the Club World Cup in his post-match remarks.
However, the Ventera defender said that his heart would be split if Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final.
Remember that the victor will play Chelsea in this weekend’s final, and that PSG will play Real Madrid in the Club World Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.
Silva said to Globo, “I now hope Chelsea can do well in the final, regardless of who they face.”
“I will have conflicting feelings if it’s Paris Saint-Germain. I will absolutely be cheering for Chelsea if it’s Real Madrid.
“We should now look up, wish Joao Pedro luck, and go on.”
