Arsenal has not yet made a formal bid for Eberechi Eze, the Crystal Palace playmaker.
This coincides with the announcement that Eze’s £68 million release clause will expire on Friday, August 1 at 11:59 p.m.
The Gunners are aware of this deadline and have previously told Palace that they do not intend to set it off, according to talkSPORT.
A predetermined fee of £60 million makes up Eze’s release clause, with add-ons paying the remaining amount.
However, Arsenal is prepared to engage in negotiations with their London rivals and values the 27-year-old less than that.
Personal terms won’t be a problem because Eze is reportedly eager to relocate.
Eze can also play wide left due to his versatility, even though Arteta has profiled him as a no. 10.
