EPL: After defeating Ipswich 4-0, Arteta provides an injury report, stating that Saka is in pain.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has revealed Bukayo Saka was left in pain after a nasty tackle in their 4-0 win at Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Arteta, speaking to the media after the game, however, ruled out any chance of a “serious” injury.

Saka spent three months out with a hamstring injury this season, but made his return in time to help fire the Gunners past Real Madrid into the Champions League semi-finals.

Leif Davis challenged Saka from behind at Portman Road, and the Ipswich left-back received a straight red card.

Later, the England winger was seen on the Arsenal bench with an ice pack wrapped over his foot.

“The tackle was so quick that I didn’t see it,” Arteta remarked.

“The referee made a wise choice. He is in some discomfort, but fortunately it doesn’t appear to be very severe.

Saka’s availability for Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League matchup against Crystal Palace is still uncertain.

On April 29, they play Paris Saint-Germain in the opening leg of their Champions League semifinal match.
