Mr. Modupe Kadri, the Chief Financial Officer of MTN Nigeria, has issued a challenge to the first-class graduates, saying that their ability to apply their knowledge to address actual problems will determine their actual value.
You have earned a first-class degree, which is an amazing accomplishment. Simply put, though, that degree is not where you’re going. Many people make the mistake of believing that academic excellence is sufficient; instead, your actual value will be determined by how well you use your knowledge to solve issues in real life, he stated.
Dr. Sulaimon Ogunmuyiwa, Chairman of the foundation’s incorporated trustees, praised the government’s student loan program and urged for greater recognition and rewards for first-class graduates than for athletes during the seventh edition of the “M-First Series,” a mentorship training program held in Lagos State. The program was organized by the First Class Muslim Foundation, which called on the Nigerian Federal Government to provide better rewards to first-class graduates from Nigerian institutions than it does.
