Pope Francis passed away on Monday at the age of 88, and French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that he would be attending his funeral.
He assured reporters, “We will go to the pope’s funeral as we should.”
A date for the funeral has not yet been announced by the Vatican.The Vatican confirmed that the pontiff passed away on Easter Monday at his residence in the Casa Santa Marta within Vatican City.
