According to Biodun Ajiboye, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for 2023, cannot outperform President Bola Tinubu if elected.
In an interview with Channels Television’s “Politics Today” on Monday, Ajiboye attacked the former governor of Anambra State, stating that not even “a million Obi” could surpass President Bola Tinubu.
He maintained that Obi’s track record as governor did not demonstrate that he was qualified to be the head of Nigeria.
Bring a million, Obi. I’m sure he can’t do better, and I’ll even wager on it. In government, what miracle will he accomplish? In Anambra, what miracle could he accomplish?
Bring the documents. What makes him successful in Anambra? He wasn’t. Then he was even younger. He was merely a bank chairman. “Does being a bank chairman require studying accounting and finance?” inquired Ajiboye.
He asserted that President Tinubu had saved Nigeria’s economy from implosion by making tough but essential choices.
