While acknowledging responsibility for the club’s relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Lobi Stars Chairman Dr. Phillip Nongu reassured supporters that the former Nigerian champions were already in the process of rebuilding in order to make a stronger comeback.
Nongu told reporters in Makurdi that the 2024–25 season was one of the most difficult in the club’s history, with subpar on-field performance as well as internal sabotage, false information, and outside forces diverting players and management.
