One of the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ose Anenih, the son of the late Chief Tony Anenih, has resigned from the party.
Anenih’s long-standing affiliation with the PDP is terminated by this development.
In a letter dated August 18, 2025, Anenih informed the PDP Ward Chairman of Arue Ward 3 in Uromi, Edo State, of his resignation from the party.
In order to focus more on his family and other important obligations, the party leader clarified that he was leaving partisan politics.
Anenih stated that he made his choice after giving it careful thought and that he now plans to concentrate on his family and other important obligations.
He claims that his resignation is effective right now. He acknowledged his strong ties to the PDP and the part it has played in his political career, describing the decision as one that was well-considered.
He wrote, “This decision was not made lightly.
“From the start, I have supported the PDP through its victories and setbacks, united by a faith in Nigerian democracy’s potential and the principles that initially attracted me to the Umbrella.”
