Benue 2027: Governor Alia says he will not appoint Sam Odeh as his deputy.

The governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has declared that he has no plans to replace Barr. SamOde, his deputy.

He reaffirmed unequivocally that there will be no opening for the Deputy Governor’s seat in 2027.

This was revealed by Governor Alia at the inauguration of his commissioner nominees in Makurdi’s Old Banquet Hall of Government House.

Keep in mind that there has been much conjecture that the governor might succeed Sam Ode, his deputy governor, in 2027.

He made it clear that he has never considered hiring a new deputy, arguing that the current one is competent.

“No deputy governor position is open in 2027.

“I have a deputy governor who is people-oriented and knowledgeable about governance.

He is a very intelligent person who is always with and for the people.

“I don’t know if anyone is thinking otherwise, but my deputy is very capable.
He is capable of carrying out his duties, and he knows what is best for Benue, which is precisely what he is doing. Therefore, there isn’t a vacancy if someone is eating and dreaming. I love him, I enjoy working with him. Those who wish for negativity won’t get their way because I like a personal relationship.
