The return of Dr. Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, to the All Progressives Congress, or APC, has been welcomed by Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa, who has called it a significant victory for the party.
Obasa said Jandor’s decision demonstrates the APC’s continued strength as the party that reflects the aspirations of all Lagos residents. Obasa hosted the former Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, governorship candidate at his official residence in Ikeja GRA on Tuesday.
We are glad to see you again. “This is a very good move,” Obasa said, promising Jandor a smooth transition back into society and cooperation in furthering the party’s dedication to efficient state governance.
He praised Jandor’s choice, saying it was made with courage and conviction, and pointed out that the APC’s inclusive and wide-ranging platform allows for sustainable development and progress for all.
In his reply, Jandor conveyed his appreciation for the Speaker’s cordial welcome and reaffirmed his resolve to make a significant contribution to the APC’s vision for Nigeria and Lagos.
Despite opposition from detractors, he praised President Bola Tinubu’s recent tax reforms, calling them audacious and people-centered.
