Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan-designate, has provided an explanation for why he is unable to enroll at the University of Ibadan.
When Ladoja applied for admission to a university, he stated that he was unable to attend because he wanted to study technology.
Since the Faculty of Technology had not yet been established in 1966 when he applied for admission to the university, the former governor of Oyo State insisted that he was not entitled to attend.
During a courtesy visit from the university’s principal officers on Tuesday, Ladoja disclosed these details.
According to BASEMEDIA, Professor Kayode Adebowale, the institution’s vice-chancellor, led the delegation.
In his remarks to the audience, the former governor pointed out that the university has remained the best in the nation even though there are many others.
Additionally, he insisted that the university continues to be a source of pride for Ibadan residents in general and academics in particular.
Ladoja also instructed the organization to leverage the resources of other ancient city research institutes.
He went on to say that this will make it easier to carry out its mission and benefit the residents of the historic city.
