Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s Lagos State governorship candidate for 2023, claims he sought and received approval from Pre Obi, the party’s former presidential candidate, to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Rhodes-Vivour stated this on Sunday during an appearance on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’. “Yes. Certainly. On Saturday, a representative of his attended the declaration. Peter Obi and I are communicating, and we are in agreement. There is no action I am taking that he is unaware of.
We have all agreed that the only way for the opposition to win the election is through a coalition.
“Regardless of where anybody may be at this time, we are working towards that aim,” he told me.
