Governor Uba Sani has received praise from the Kaduna State Council of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives for introducing the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) and the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) for its members.
A letter dated September 2, 2025, signed by the State Chairman and State Secretary, Comrade Ishaku Yakubu and Comrade Christiana Bawa, respectively, expressed the commendation.
According to the council, the “one act of generosity and justice has raised the spirits of many committed nurses in your administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President.”
According to NANNM, the Governor “has not only reaffirmed your passion for strengthening healthcare delivery in our dear state, but has also demonstrated your genuine commitment to the welfare of nurses and health workers.”
“Your Excellency prioritized the wellbeing of health workers despite the fact that the implementation of both CONHESS and CONMESS came amid competing demands on state resources,” the letter acknowledged.
The council went on to say, “This visionary leadership has improved productivity, raised morale, and positioned Kaduna State as a model of labor-friendly governance.”
