A committee has been established by the federal government to deal with the payment of unpaid debts owing to power generation firms (GenCos) and to set up long-term payment plans to stop further accumulation. This was revealed on Monday in Abuja during the Association of Power Generation Companies of Nigeria’s (APGC) tenth anniversary celebration by Mahmuda Mamman, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of PowerKey players from the power industry came together for the event, which had as its topic “A Decade of Powering Progress, Driving Nigeria’s Energy Transformation,” to discuss the successes and setbacks of the previous ten years.
