Six recently promoted police officers are decorated by Osun CP.

The Osun State Police Command celebrated the promotion of six senior officers from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) on Tuesday, an elevation approved by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
The officers were officially decorated at the Command Headquarters in Osogbo, with Commissioner of Police (CP) Ibrahim Gotan overseeing the ceremony.
According to a statement from DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, the Command’s spokesperson, the newly promoted CSPs include: Idris Yahaya Balogun (Officer-in-Charge, Abere), Mohammed Suleiman (DPO, Ikoyi), Bosede David Femi (DPO, Oja-Oba), Akanmu Sunday Gbadebo (DPO, Ejigbo), Oladapo Titilope Hammed (DPO, ‘A’ Division, Ilesha), and Ajani Motunrayo (Deputy Commissioner, Intelligence, SCID, Osogbo).
CP Gotan congratulated the officers, acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and professionalism. He stated, “Your elevation today is a testament to your commitment… I urge you to redouble your efforts and continue to uphold the integrity and discipline of the Nigeria Police Force.”
The Commissioner also thanked the PSC and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun for recognizing the officers’ achievements, noting that the promotions reflect a resolve to “reward merit and encourage officers who display excellence.”
He added that this development is both a reward and “a call to greater service,” emphasizing that they must not let down the people of Osun State who expect the best.
The Command concluded by reaffirming its dedication to peace, security, and protecting the lives and property of citizens throughout the state. The event was attended by senior officers, family, and well-wishers.
