The ICPC (Independent Corrupt Practices Commission), through its Chairman Musa Adamu Aliyu SAN, urged stakeholders at a National Integrity Summit to renew their dedication to creating a corruption-free society led by officials who genuinely care for the public and the country.
The summit, titled “Integrity is Everything,” gathered CSOs, NGOs, and others in Abuja to focus on ethical leadership. The ICPC Chairman, represented by Mr. Kingsley Obi, emphasized that this goal aligns with the ICPC’s core duty: promoting good governance, trust, accountability, and investigating corruption. The Commission is actively partnering with NGOs to eradicate corruption.
Also speaking to Comrade Charles Agubor (Convener) challenged participants, especially young leaders, to let their actions and character prove their integrity and selflessness, stressing that the nation’s future hinges on this.
Dr. Daniel Omofoman (African Electoral Integrity Initiative) highlighted the ICPC’s crucial role in ensuring electoral integrity and noted his organization’s collaboration with the Commission in that area.
In short, the ICPC wants everyone to get serious about integrity so we can finally have leaders who put the people first—because, let’s be honest, we’ve waited long enough for that chapter to begin.
