Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC). Trump made the designation following reports of Christian genocide in Northern Nigeria, also threatening possible military action against the alleged Islamic terrorists. Ejimakor stated that the CPC designation is meant to “unlock the full potential of American soft power” to aid Nigeria in fighting religious terror. Ejimakor posted on X that if anyone felt threatened by the designation, they must be “a suspect,” simply because only those with something to hide would oppose it.
