German football club Augsburg parted ties with trainer Sandro Wagner on Monday, following a brief and unsatisfactory spell for the former German national team assistant. Wagner, 38, was only in Augsburg for five months. With just 10 points from twelve games, the team is currently in 14th place in the Bundesliga.”We realised that the belief and conviction to turn things around with our current setup were no longer there,” Augsburg managing director Michael Stroell stated after the team’s 0-3 loss to Hoffenheim on Saturday.
