Suspicion that state governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri may be facilitating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s anticipated defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) has increased following Tinubu’s visit to Yola, Adamawa State, yesterday. When contacted, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor’s chief press secretary, acknowledged that the governor had stated in his address that the invitation offered to the president goes beyond project commissioning, but he was unable to confirm whether the president’s visit had anything to do with politics.
