Breaking: Items Found on the IPOB Leader’s Body Are Revealed, Postponing Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial [Full List]

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has had his trial postponed until May 2, 2025.
According to Naija News, Nnamdi Kanu’s 2015 extrajudicial statement, delivered soon after he was taken into custody by Department of State Services (DSS) agents, was entered into evidence by the court.

A DSS agent who was the first prosecution witness in the seven-count treasonable felony charge the Federal Government sought against Kanu submitted the statement to the court.

The witness, whose name was kept secret, was just called PWAAA. Behind a screen, he gave his testimony.

The witness informed the court that on October 14, 2015, when the defendant returned to the country from the United Kingdom (UK), he was arrested by a team of security personnel in one of the rooms at the Golden Tulip Hotel at Lagos International Airport.

Video records of the interrogations that followed Kanu’s arrest were also presented by the witness.

The court also saw the production of four suitcases, each containing different items found in the hotel room where Kanu was arrested.

The defendant’s personal possessions, including equipment he reportedly utilized for his Radio Biafra broadcasts, were found in the luggage.

The objects were marked as exhibits in the case and brought into evidence by Trial Justice James Omotosho.
