Young political figure, entrepreneur, and founder of the ATO Movement, Abiola Taoreed Olawale, has officially announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing the decision as a step taken after deep personal reflection, consultations, and a renewed commitment to grassroots development and community service.
According to him, his political journey has always been driven by service, youth inclusion, women empowerment, and the desire to create meaningful opportunities for the people of Egbeda Constituency and beyond. He explained that the decision to leave the PDP was not made out of bitterness or conflict, but rather from a desire to focus fully on his humanitarian vision, personal foundation, and the growing impact of the ATO Movement.
Abiola Taoreed Olawale stated that over the years, he has remained committed to political participation, youth engagement, and community-building initiatives aimed at empowering young people, supporting women, and encouraging progressive leadership within the grassroots. He noted that the ATO Movement was created to inspire a new generation of leadership built on peace, development, inclusion, and service to the people.
While appreciating the leadership and members of the Peoples Democratic Party for the opportunities, support, exposure, and relationships built during his time within the party, he maintained that politics should never be treated as a do-or-die affair, but as a platform for service, unity, and development.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that will positively impact the lives of young people, women, and local communities, adding that his focus moving forward will remain centered on humanitarian activities, leadership development, empowerment programs, and strengthening the vision of the ATO Movement across Egbeda Constituency.
Supporters and followers of the movement have continued to express encouragement and solidarity, describing the decision as the beginning of a new chapter focused on purposeful leadership, community engagement, and political maturity.
