Liam Delap, a 22-year-old striker, should not be signed by Manchester United, according to Louis Saha, a former player for the club. He has advised his old club against acquiring him for manager Reuben Amorim.
The Frenchman claimed that it would be very risky for Man United to trust the young attacker.
After Ipswich Town’s relegation, Delap now has a £30 million release clause this summer.
This summer, the English footballer has been associated with links to Man United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
In conversation with Mega Dice, Saha proposed that for the upcoming season, Manchester United should focus on
acquiring a seasoned forward to spearhead their offense rather than Delap.
Saha stated through Utd District: “For United to place complete trust in a young player such as Liam Delap would be exceedingly hazardous and risky.
“Regardless of whether he is a quality player, I see it as a gamble that isn’t worth taking.”
At present, Manchester United holds the 14th place in the Premier League standings.
The Red Devils have reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League. The side of Amorim will face the Athletic Club on Thursday.
