Celtic defeated Motherwell on Wednesday night thanks to a penalty kick from Kelechi Iheanacho.
Before the visitors were given a spot kick for a handball in the area, the Scottish Premier League match was on the verge of a 2-2 draw.
Motherwell took the lead against the reigning champions thanks to Elliot Watt, but just before halftime, Daizen Maeda tied the score.
Benjamin Nygren’s thundering effort early in the second half put the visitors ahead.
However, Liam Gordon pegged them back once more and Hearts regained control of the title.
Hearts continues to lead with 70 points with one round remaining, while Rangers are one point behind in second position.
Celtic’s score is 67.
