Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, a forward for Enyimba, has encouraged his teammates to work even harder in their pursuit of the President Federation Cup victory.
Abakaliki FC and the People’s Elephant will square off in a Round of 16 match at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
According to Ihemekwele, the only way to guarantee a spot on the continental football team for the upcoming season is to win the President Federation Cup.
Speaking to the club’s reporters, he said, “It hasn’t really been an easy season for us; you could see that we’ve been traveling a lot.”
However, I have faith that my teammates can succeed and restore the glory, beginning with Abakaliki FC. I hope they’re doing well.
“I want the Federation Cup to be won by us. On the way home, we are winning. We need to return to the continent and maintain our prominence, therefore it’s crucial for us. I have faith that my coworkers can succeed.
