An erroneously created WhatsApp group has been disowned by the Military Pensions Board (MPB), which has advised the public and pensioners not to interact with it.
Aliyu Mohammed, the Board’s Public Relations Officer, made this announcement in an Abuja statement on Monday.
The Military Pensions Board, or MPB, was founded by unidentified people, Mohammed claimed, and it does not reflect the board’s viewpoint. According to him, MPB has not created any WhatsApp groups specifically for veterans or pensioners, and those who spread such messages are dishonest people.
To be clear, the MPB only uses its official social media accounts, press releases, official statements, and approved communication channels to interact with stakeholders and pensioners,” he stated.
The board spokesperson encouraged pensioners to always seek clarification through official contacts whenever in doubt and reassured them that MPB’s top priority remains their welfare.
