Daniel Etim-Effiong, a well-known actor in Nollywood, has disclosed that he wed his wife Toyosi after his former girlfriend turned down his proposal for marriage.
During a recent chat with Chude Jideonwo, Etim-Effiong clarified his desire to settle down, although his then-girlfriend was not prepared for that.
He indicated that he subsequently departed from South Africa to Nigeria, where he encountered his wife, the production manager of a project he was involved in as well.
Etim-Effiong stated, “I believe two factors converged to ready me for marriage with my wife. During that phase of my life, I was fatigued from managing multiple relationships. However, I had a girlfriend then, and I informed the girl that I believed I was prepared to marry, but she wasn’t ready. At that time, we were in South Africa, and she was not a Nigerian woman.
