Alleged fraud amounting to N1.38bn: Jude Okoye has been released from EFCC custody

The former manager of the defunct music group, P-Square, Jude Okoye, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, after two months in detention.
reports that Jude Okoye was arraigned by the anti-graft agency alongside his company, Northside Music Limited, on seven counts of charges related to money laundering.

Paul Okoye, popularly called Rudeboy of Psquare, announced their elder brother Jude’s release on Wednesday.

Paul shared a series of videos on his Instagram story featuring him and others welcoming Jude home, writing, “Jude is finally out after 2 months + .. all their efforts to frustrate his bail have finally collapsed. Welcome back home, brother #judeengees. And have a great birthday. Welcome back, blood

Remember that Rudeboy has alleged that his twin brother and former bandmate, Peter Okoye (known as Mr P of P-Square), is responsible for Jude’s legal issues and imprisonment.

In the Federal High Court in Lagos last week, Peter gave testimony against Jude. He elucidated the process by which Jude covertly established a new company under his wife’s name and exploited it to redirect royalties that should have gone to P-Square.

The court postponed the case to June 4 for cross-examination.
