Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Anambra, stated that if won, he will build on the accomplishments of previous state leaders. The poll is scheduled for November 8.
According to Naija News, Ezenwafor informed the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party that his election as governor would come as a shock.
On Thursday, he made this statement as the party’s NWC, under the direction of Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum, gave him his certificate of return as the party’s nominee.
“My victory would address the mass defection of PDP governors and other elected leaders into other parties,” Ezenwafor continued.
He said, “My able Chairman Umar Damagun, and all members of the National Working Committee (NWC), as you were all aware, Anambra State is a PDP state, and all the people who have taken on leadership positions were once PDP aspirants. I can assure you, my victory will surprise the world; I will build on the accomplishments of the previous leaders in Anambra State and map out my campaign strategies to win during the November 8th governorship election. My victory will be a thing of surprise to the entire world, and other governors will join me in rebuilding the PDP after I win,” he said.
