Jesutega Onokpasa, a leader of the All Progressives Congress, is said to have passed away.
On Monday, the lawyer and well-known political analyst passed away.
The well-known political analyst was survived by his wife and kids, according to pro-APC activist Okezie Atani, who announced his passing on his X account today.
“Barr. was lost,” he wrote. May the soul of Jesutega Onokpasa rest in eternal peace.
To mark the passing of the late APC leader, the Renewed Hope United Kingdom Facebook page also posted a tribute titled “A Farewell to a Passionate Advocate: Honouring Jesutega Onokpasa’s Legacy.”
“Barrister Jesutega Onokpasa’s passing is a profound loss to the Nigerian political and legal landscape,” the statement read. As a committed attorney and political analyst, he was actively involved in influencing public opinion and promoting his viewpoints.
His dedication to his party and the country was demonstrated by his contributions in 2023 while serving on the APC Presidential Campaign Council and the APC Publicity Committee. Nigeria’s democratic discourse would not have been the same without Onokpasa’s voice, whether it was critical or supportive. I hope his friends, family, and coworkers find comfort and strength during this trying time.

In 2023, Onokpasa, a member of the APC’s Presidential Campaign Council, died of unspecified causes.
Additionally, he was a member of the APC’s Publicity Committee.
