A devastating fire caused by a generator destroyed Abagbo Garden and Hotel, a well-known establishment in the Kwankwashi area of Suleja, Niger State, on Sunday afternoon. Despite a rapid response from the Suleja Division of the state Fire Service, the blaze consumed a significant portion of the property, including millions of naira worth of goods and equipment. Witnesses reported that the owner, Sunday Agbo, was so overwhelmed by the destruction of his lifelong investment that bystanders had to physically restrain him to prevent him from attempting suicide. Agbo, who had recently taken a 10-million-naira loan for renovations and had just received a large shipment of stock on credit, expressed profound despair over the financial ruin. Following the incident, he was taken home by friends and family who are currently providing him with emotional support as he struggles to process the loss of his business.
