Declaring that the Federal Government will never submit to those endangering the country’s peace and security, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s resolve to combat terrorism, banditry, and other types of criminality.
During Sunday’s National Interdenominational Church Service at the National Christian Center in Abuja, as part of events commemorating the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, the President made the commitment through Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Speaking to worshippers on the President’s behalf, Akume stated that the government is still dedicated to bolstering security efforts throughout the nation while attempting to secure the release of citizens who are being held captive by criminal organizations. He pointed out that recent attacks and kidnappings demonstrate the necessity of security agencies taking consistent action.
While delivering the President’s message, Akume declared, “The Nigerian government shall never give in to terror, banditry, or any form of criminal intimidation.” He continued by saying that the administration’s top priority is still to protect people and property.
Additionally, President Tinubu acknowledged the economic difficulties that many Nigerians face and reassured the populace that his administration is working to improve the distribution of democratic dividends while easing hardship.
He claims that the administration is responding with fresh urgency to public concerns about insecurity, inflation, and displacement in certain areas of the nation.
