The actions of daredevil terrorists in some Northern regions have been deemed unacceptable by former vice president Atiku Abubakar, who has blamed the unsightly trend on President Bola Tinubu’s purported failure.
In a statement released on his Facebook page on Wednesday, Atiku confirmed that he had met with Mohammed Kumaila and other political stakeholders from Borno State. The former vice president claimed that the troublemakers had taken over some communities and that the main topic of his conversation with the stakeholders was the worsening security situation in the North East, North West, and North Central.
The current deteriorating security situation, particularly in Northern Nigeria, was the main topic of discussion with the leaders of Borno.
Most people agree that political leadership, particularly under Tinubu’s APC Federal Government, has failed miserably in occupying parts of the states of North East, North West, and North Central Nigeria.
“It is intolerable that terrorists or bandits still occupy communities, enforcing taxes on residents and interfering with agricultural operations,” he declared.
“Nigerian security forces have the capacity to take on the insecurity confronting the country with the right political leadership,” Atiku added.
He urged Nigerians to band together against the current government and use the 2027 elections to save their nation.
He continued by saying, “I expressed my readiness to support efforts aimed at restoring the country’s peace and economic prosperity and thanked the Borno stakeholders for their show of concern about the state of the nation.”
