Tolu Arokodare, the striker for Genk, did not win the Player of the Season award in the Belgian Pro League.
Despite finishing as the top scorer in the 2024/25 season, Arokodare was overlooked by most voters.
With a vote share of 24.20% from coaches and peers, the forward secured a third-place finish.
The award was clinched by Ardon Jashari, a standout player for Club Brugge, who garnered 32.33% of the votes. His fellow teammate Hans Vanaken followed with 27.79%.
This past season, Arokodare took home the Top Scorer award and the Ebony Boot as the best African player in the Belgian top league.
Despite a strong performance in the regular season, Genk also missed out on the league title.
