Mohamed Salah and four other key players will not play in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup third-round match against Southampton, according to manager Arne Slot.
The Reds won all five of their Premier League games to start the season in perfect form.
However, Slot will rotate players for their midweek match in order to keep his team fresh.
Mo [Mohamed Salah], Ryan [Gravenberch], Ibou [Ibrahima Konate], Virgil [van Dijk], and Dom [Dominik Szoboszlai] are in the last 90 minutes. You won’t be seeing them on Tuesday, I can tell you that much already.
It is anticipated that Salah and company will be available for their upcoming league game against Crystal Palace.
