The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued an urgent warning: beware of recruitment scammers!
As the 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise enters the crucial shortlisting phase for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), the Board stressed that it will not contact applicants via email or SMS.
Here’s the deal, according to retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, the Board’s Secretary:
* Action Required: All candidates who applied for the four paramilitary agencies (Correctional Service, Immigration, Fire Service, and Civil Defence) must visit the official portal (\text{[https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng](https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng)}) starting Thursday, October 30, 2025.
* Next Step: On the portal, check your shortlist status. If successful, you must update your profile and print your examination slip, which will show your CBT center, date, and time.
* Official Communication Only: All legitimate information is only on the portal. Any email or text message claiming to be from CDCFIB is a fake trying to scam you.
In short, if a text tells you you’ve been shortlisted, it’s a lie. Go straight to the source (the official portal) or risk getting burned.
