Champions League semi-final: Wenger predicts Arsenal vs PSG tie

The current squad has what it takes to reach the Champions League final this year, according to former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger.

On Tuesday, the Gunners will face Paris Saint-Germain at home in the first leg of their semi-final matchup.

Wenger has commended their strong defense, keeping them ahead of the game.
The Frenchman, however, thinks that for Mikel Arteta’s men to give themselves the best chance possible, they need to avoid getting a red card.

Wenger told Sky Sports, “[It is important] that you don’t have any sending off or foolish reactions at some point.”

“All in all, I think Arsenal has a very solid defense, and this will be significant over the course of the two legs.”

Only once have Arsenal reached the Champions League final, which occurred in 2006 when they lost to Barcelona 2-1 after relinquishing a one-goal advantage.
