Inter Milan lost to AC Milan in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday night, ending their hopes of finishing the season with a treble.
The contest had finished in a 1-1 draw after the first leg.
To go to the final, the Rossoneri defeated their local rivals 3-0 in the second leg.
Milan dominated the match at the San Siro thanks to two goals from Luka Jovic in the 36th and 50th minutes.
Tijani Reijnders, a midfielder, won in the 85th minute to guarantee a spot in the final, where they will face the victor of Bologna vs. Empoli.
Milan last won the Coppa Italia during the 2002–03 campaign. Nevertheless, they lost to Juventus 4-0 in their most recent final appearance in 2018.
Inter will now focus on a first-leg matchup against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final.
