Barrister Dino Melaye, a former senator who served in the Kogi West Senatorial District, has criticized Edward Onoja, the state’s former deputy governor, over recent allegations.
According to BASEMEDIA, Edward Onoja accused former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello of treachery in a recent interview.
The former deputy governor claims that Bello disregarded him and backed Usman Ododo despite having promised him the succession.
In response to his tirade, Dino wrote on his X handle that Edward “should stop crying and helped Bello.”
Reiterating that the former deputy governor stated he would be “dead before the end of June 2017,” the former lawmaker said Edward Onoja planned attacks against him.
“Edward Onoja should keep quiet,” he wrote. Yahaya Bello was referred to as his twin brother by him. He should stop sobbing; he helped Bello.
He filed a FG lawsuit against me in the FCT High Court’s Justice Goodluck’s court, which I prevailed in. He appeared as a witness in court. He claimed that I would die before the end of June 2017 and was in control of my recall.
