Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, a legendary musician, has denied death rumors, stating that he is still alive, robust, and in good condition.
Obey-Fabiyi vigorously denied the allegation in a video released Tuesday morning.
He sang in Pidgin, English, and Yoruba, calling the news untrue.
Obey-Fabiyi sang, “Hello, my name is Professor Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi,” in the music video.

“It is fake news that started a few hours ago claiming that I, Evangelist Obey, have passed on to glory,” the renowned artist continued. It’s a lie. That is not what Jesus wrote, yet I am living.
His fans sent heartfelt messages after the death rumor went viral on Monday.
However, his personal assistant, Tope Olukole, swiftly debunked the claim during a Monday evening interview with TVC.
Olukole assured the public that the music legend was in good health.
“Let’s set the record straight: Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi is alive and thriving! He recently celebrated a joyous occasion — the 50th birthday of his second child’s spouse,” Olukole said.
“Rumours of his passing are baseless and entirely unfounded. We’re glad to see him active and well,” he added.
The death hoax came barely a month after Obey-Fabiyi marked his 83rd birthday.
