In his critique of the Nigerian economy, petroleum/oil and gas engineer Bala Zakka emphasized that anyone who claims the economy is doing well and is not experiencing stunted growth is not being truthful.
When answering questions during an interview on Arise Television on Thursday, Zakka made this statement.
The petroleum engineer bemoaned the lack of entitlements in every sector and claimed that all economic variables were down. “The only thing that Nigerians enjoy is oxygen,” he emphasized, adding that Nigerian leaders will lock the oxygen if they can.I will speak in my individual capacity as a Nigerian, and I have no plans to get involved in politics tomorrow, not today, and not yesterday. The economy is suffering, in my opinion. People in Nigeria are moaning in agony. All of the variables are down. The facts are obvious: there is extreme poverty. All I will say is right from the time we went into democracy to now, Nigerian leaders have been caged by propaganda merchants. Nigeria’s economy will eventually collapse due to the propaganda merchants’ refusal to get rid of them. “Anyone who claims the economy is doing well. You can’t trust that person. If someone tells you that the economy is experiencing significant, slowed growth, they are not being truthful. In my opinion, there are no rights in the areas of agriculture, insecurity, health, education, or electricity. I firmly believe that some of those economic vampires have no control over anything other than oxygen, which is the only thing we enjoy today. I have a feeling they’ll lock the oxygen in a cage if they can,” he said.
